My Little Story
Hello, I'm Saffron Stevens, founder and web designer at Saffron Designs Co.
I recently graduated from university with a degree in Media Production. Like many graduates, I wasn't completely sure what I wanted to do next. Studying Media opened my eyes to so many creative possibilities and different ways I could use my skills, which was exciting — but also a little overwhelming. Then, after moving back home, my mum gave me an opportunity that would change the direction I wanted to take. She needed help creating a website for her business, so I told her I'd give it a go. As we worked together to design and build her website, I quickly realised just how much I loved it. My interest in web design actually started a little earlier. While studying Film & TV Production at college, I created my own portfolio website, and during my second year at university, I was part of a group project where we created a website focused on mental health. I enjoyed both experiences, but it wasn't until creating a website for my mum that everything clicked. I loved being able to combine creativity, design and storytelling to create something that was not only beautiful and fun, but also professional, practical and completely personal to her business.
And that's where Saffron Designs Co. began. I decided I wanted to work with small businesses and personal brands, helping them create an online home that feels like them — a beautiful, easy-to-use space that showcases what they do and gives their clients the experience they deserve.
I'm at the beginning of my journey, but I'm excited to grow alongside the businesses I work with and create websites that they're genuinely proud to call their own.

My Hobbies and Interests
Yoga
I do yoga every day! I find it super grounding and love starting my mornings with a little bit of movement and time to myself. It’s become one of my favourite ways to start the day.
Reading
I love a good romance book! In a world that feels so busy all the time, I find reading a great way to escape, switch off and get lost in another world for a little while.
Music
Music is good for the soul! I love pretty much every genre of music, but house music will always be my favourite. There's something about a good house track that instantly puts me in a happy mood!
Travelling
I love seeing different parts of the world! I'm very lucky to have the opportunity to travel throughout the year with my best friend. I love discovering new places, experiencing different cultures and making memories along the way.
Film & TV
Give me a good film or TV show and I'm happy! I love diving into different worlds and getting caught up in the story and characters. Just like reading, it's one of my favourite ways to escape the real world for a while.
Radio
I spent three years at Nerve Radio, including two as Head of Music. I loved experiencing both sides of radio — being behind the scenes and behind the mic, especially doing it all with my friends. I'd happily do it all over again!
